As most of you know, the Trans Montana Charity Ride supports NAMI Montana and we direct the funds raised to go toward teen suicide prevention programs and Veteran’s mental health programs.

This year, we’re remembering and honoring a special person as part of our ride. Todd and Wanda Moldenhauer’s son Kit passed away in July of 2024. Kit was a family friend of returning riders Otto and Karla Johnson.

Kit spent a decade in the US Navy serving our country and after an honorable discharge, returned to Montana to make his home with his family in Belfry.

Otto, Karla and the rest of the riders will be riding in memory of Kit this year. We invite all of you to join us Saturday, Feb 8th to ride at King’s Hill and then join us for the banquet in Great Falls that night.

Todd and Wanda’s wish for Kit’s memory is for all of us to work to end the stigma about reaching out for help so no one feels alone in their struggles, and to support those who are hurting to speak up about what they are feeling.

In this spirit, we ask that you join us in donating in honor of Kit to ensure his legacy lives on through helping others with their mental health.
